Stalking Horse released the introductory EP Half In Shadow to the Cincinnati scene. This debut CD offers a tantalizing glimpse of this dynamic rock band. Opening song "Fear" hits like a freight
train, with an energetic, driving rhythm that leaves you breathless and lyrics that offer a panicked mimic of the cacophony around it.Title track "Half in Shadow" seizes attention with its crunchy guitars and hypnotic industrial beat; powerful lyrics offer a contrast between the light and dark aspects of the song. Finally, "On the Wall" edges toward a gothic feel, with soulful keyboards that lead you in gracefully, and crashing guitars that close around and lock you in.
