Summer, 1986. Backyard party. This is
one of the rare occasions on which I've been able to work with my brother, Colin.
This is a "one-off band" we put together just for this party. That's me on the
left, playing the VH bass, Kevin on the drums, my brother with the red Strat and
the George Lynch hair (I want that Gibson amp he's playing!!), and his friend
Fred on vocals. We played mostly New Wave tunes at this gig, like Icicle Works,
Modern English, yada yada. We used to just put bands together to play one gig
all the time. My brother and I usually switched off on bass and guitar, depending
on who knew the parts.
